Corporates in India have been working towards sustainable socio-economic development through their continuous work in various development sectors across various parts of the country. Top 15 Development Sectors year on year have been visualized showing the changing focusses of companies in the past years.
Education and Health Care has been priority sectors in all the years which get more than 51% of the CSR Spending. Further, the focus has been on other sectors as well such as Rural Development Projects, Poverty, Eradicating Hunger, Malnutrition, and Environmental Sustainability which has got more than 38000 Cr of CSR funds to date. A shift can be noticed in the spending on encouraging sports where the growth rate has been more than 407% in FY 2023 as compared to FY2015. A commendable shift in the Spending for women empowerment can also be observed showing a positive change in the corporate's CSR policies.
